The single device of the large current generator is heavy, so pay attention to personal safety when it needs to be moved to the test site. In order to ensure the safety of the test site, there shall be no less than two persons for the test, one for the operation and one for the supervision and observation. During the test, the tester should keep a safe distance from the subject. Test personnel wear protective gear, set up test alert area.
The large current generator shell must be grounded during the test, do not neglect to prevent personal safety accidents because of low voltage. The high current generator must be well grounded, and the use of medium upcurrent transformer and the operation table must also be reliably grounded to ensure the safety of the test.
Large current generator upweller secondary to the sample wire should not be too long, the cross-sectional area should be enough (current density can be considered by 6-8A/mm) contact surface to be processed clean (available fine gauze bright), otherwise the joint heating, even the current rise to less than the rating.
Before operation, check that the power supply has sufficient capacity. Otherwise, the power cable heating and voltage decrease will affect the normal operation. There should be no combustible material at the work site. Adequate fire extinguishing equipment should be prepared for the temperature rise test of the large current generator.
Large current generator for continuity (temperature rise) test, the site should be on duty. Check the heating condition of upcurrent series resonance equipment, wire and connector regularly and record it. Due to the change of grid voltage, pay attention to adjust TD, in order to maintain the rated test current. During the test, once the abnormal phenomenon is found, the air switch power should be cut off immediately, and the test should be carried out after finding out the cause. After the test, the regulator must be returned to zero, press the air switch to cut off the power supply, cut off the working power supply, and remove the test wiring in the direction to ensure safety.
The test work should comply with the relevant provisions of the safety work regulations of electrical industry and make practical safety measures.
