Procedure for using the grounding resistance tester

First, preparation

1, read the instructions of the grounding resistance tester carefully, should be familiar with the structure, performance and use of the grounding resistance tester.

2, the measurement must be used when the tools and all instrument accessories are ready, wipe the instrument and grounding probe, especially the grounding probe, be sure to affect the conductive ability of the surface of the dirt and rust stains clean.

3, disconnect the connection point of the grounding trunk and the grounding body or the connection point of all the grounding branch lines on the grounding trunk, so as to achieve the purpose of the grounding body to become independent from the connection relationship.

The preparation work is a crucial work before the start of the measurement. If these are not fully prepared, it is likely that the measurement can not be carried out smoothly, or the measurement results are not enough.

Two, measurement steps

1. Insert the two grounding probes into the ground 20m and 40m away from the grounding body along the radiation direction of the grounding body respectively, and the insertion depth is 400mm.

2) Place the grounding resistance measuring instrument flat near the grounding body, and then connect the cables. The wiring method is as follows:

(1) Connect the grounding body with the connecting end of the grounding measuring instrument “E1” (measuring instrument with three terminals) or with C2, “the common end after the short connection (measuring instrument with fHV Hipot Electric Co., Ltd. terminals).

② Connect the measuring probe (current probe) 40m away from the grounding body with the wiring button “C1” of the measuring instrument with a long wire.

③ Connect the measurement probe (potential probe), which is apart from the grounding body m, to the connecting end “P1” of the meter with the remaining conductor of dispersion length.

3) After placing the grounding resistance meter horizontally, check and ensure that the galvanometer pointer points to the center line. If not, adjust the “zero regulator” to make the meter pointer point to the center line.

4. Adjust the “ratio scale” (or rough adjustment knob) to a larger multiple, and slowly turn the generator handle so that the pointer begins to offset, and at the same time, rotate the “measurement scale dial” (or fine adjustment knob) so that the pointer of the meter points to the center line.

5. When the pointer of the galvanometer is close to the balance (the pointer is close to the center line), speed up the rotation handle, so that the speed reaches more than 120r/min, and adjust the “measuring scale dial”, so that the pointer points to the center line.

6. If the reading of the “measurement dial” is too small (<1), it is difficult to read the value, indicating that the multiplier scale multiple is too large. At this time, the “multiplier scale” should be adjusted to a smaller multiple, the “measurement scale” again to adjust the pointer to the center line, and read the accurate reading.

7, measurement result calculation, that is, R = “multiplier scale” reading × “measurement scale” reading.
