Precautions for using grounding wire

The grounding resistance tester under HV Hipot Electric Co., Ltd. power can help many power workers conduct various power tests more conveniently.

According to actual work, the following precautions should be taken when using grounding wires:

1. The grounding wire must be checked before work. The grounding wire should be within the testing period. Whether the soft copper wire is broken or twisted, whether the screw connection is loose, and whether the wire hook elasticity is normal. If it does not meet the requirements, it should be replaced or repaired in a timely manner before use.

2. Before installing the grounding wire, it is necessary to check the power supply first. Installing electrical grounding wires is a common habitual violation in on-site work.

3. Divide the ground wire into two sections and hang them on the work site to avoid the possibility of users reversing or inducing electricity.

4. When grounding piles, it is required to use grounding bodies to quickly clear large accident currents and ensure grounding quality.

5. It is strictly prohibited to use other metal wires instead of grounding wires.

6. Pay attention to the grounding wire. The grounding wire must not deform during use, and the soft copper wire should be coiled when not in use. After the grounding wire is removed, it must not be dropped from the air or dropped randomly.

7. Insulation rods should be used when installing grounding wires.

8. When installing the grounding wire, first connect the grounding terminal, and then connect the conductor terminal. The grounding wire should have good contact and reliable connection. During the installation process, the human body must not come into contact with the grounding wire or an ungrounded wire.

9. Select the corresponding specification of grounding wire according to different voltage levels.

10. The ground wire is double-sided. It not only has security protection functions, but improper use can also have destructive effects. Therefore, it is necessary to promptly remove the grounding wire. The order of dismantling the grounding wire is opposite to the order of installation. Closing the circuit with a grounding wire can damage electrical equipment, disrupt the stability of the power grid, and lead to serious electrical accidents.
