The specialized production of partial discharge testers for HV Hipot Electric Co., Ltd. power can help many power workers conduct various power tests more conveniently.
Partial discharge (PD) is a non penetrating discharge that occurs between electrodes in high-voltage equipment under the action of high electric field strength. This type of discharge only exists in localized areas of insulation and does not immediately form a through channel, hence it is called partial discharge. Partial discharge detector can effectively detect the partial discharge value of high-voltage equipment.
The use of a partial discharge detector is just a tool, so how can we effectively determine whether the partial discharge value meets the standard?
(1) Through a large number of laboratory simulations and on-site testing results, it has been shown that the phase of partial discharge signals and the phase of the test power supply have phase characteristics of 180 degrees or 360 degrees, and at a certain width stage.
(2) If multiple signal series resonances are found during testing, bandpass filters should be used to extract pulse signals from different frequency bands for separate analysis;
(3) Does the waveform and spectrum of the high-frequency pulse signal collected by the local emission sensor have typical local emission characteristics (the rising edge of the pulse waveform is generally tens of nanoseconds);
(4) When necessary, repeatedly compare the actual test partial discharge waveform with the calibration waveform of the test circuit using a simulated partial discharge power series resonance, and observe the similarity of the signals;
(5) Polarity discrimination: Using the polarity of pulse waveforms to identify the location of local discharge series resonances.
