The megohmmeter under HV Hipot Electric Co., Ltd. power can help many power workers conduct various power tests more conveniently.
1. For newly installed or long-term unused voltage regulators, measure the edge resistance of the coil to ground with a 500 volt megohmmeter before operation. When the value is not less than 5 megohms, it can be safely used, otherwise it should be heated. Heating and drying methods can generally be achieved through electric drying or drying in a drying room. After drying, check if the fasteners are loose, and tighten them if they are loose.
2. The power supply voltage should comply with the input voltage on the voltage regulator nameplate.
3. The voltage regulator is well grounded to ensure safety.
4. When using, always pay attention to the output power being lower than the rated value. If there is a short-term load, it cannot exceed the specifications in Table 2, otherwise it may reduce the life of the voltage regulator and even burn out.
5. Rotate the handle slowly and evenly during use to avoid damaging the brush or generating sparks.
6. The use of voltage regulators should be checked regularly. If excessive wear or defects are found on the brush, it should be replaced with a brush of the same specification in a timely manner, and a zero grit sandpaper should be used to pad it under the brush. Rotate the handwheel several times to make the brush bottom. After smoothing and good contact, it can be used. The replaced copper graphite composite brush strictly meets the specifications.
7. The surface of the coil and brush should be kept clean regularly, otherwise sparks may be generated and the surface of the coil may be burned out. If black spots are found on the surface of the coil, wipe it with cotton yarn dipped in alcohol (90%) until the black spots on the surface are removed.
8. The wires and terminal connections from the power supply to the regulator, and from the regulator to the load, should have good contact and be able to pass the rated power of the regulator.
9. When moving the regulator, do not use a handwheel, but use a handle or lift the entire product to move it.
10. The voltage regulator needs to be installed horizontally on the panel (in the unit voltage regulator structure) or vertically on other bases, which can be fixed through the mounting holes on the voltage regulator base.
11. The regulator should be kept clean at all times, and no water droplets, oil stains, etc. should fall into the regulator. The regulator should be powered off regularly to remove dust accumulation.
