In series resonance testing, we often encounter situations where the voltage cannot be raised to the test voltage. What are the reasons for the series resonant device not boosting the test voltage? Today, let’s analyze and solve this problem together.
Phenomenon:
1) The tuning curve is a straight line with a lower peak;
2) During testing, the primary voltage is high, but the high voltage is low. Even without increasing the test voltage, if the primary voltage has reached the rated voltage, the circuit will automatically step down;
Reason:
1) The reactor does not match the capacitance of the test sample, and the resonance point has not been accurately found;
2) High sampling loss and low system Q value;
3) The high voltage output voltage of the excitation transformer is low;
4) The high-voltage connecting wire is too long or no high-voltage corona wire is used.
Elimination method:
1) Connect compensation capacitors to the test circuit to increase the circuit capacity;
2) Connect as many reactors as possible to increase the circuit inductance;
3) Increase the output voltage of the excitation transformer;
4) Dry the test object, improve the insulation strength of the test object, and reduce the active power loss of the circuit;
5) Generally, when the equipment has high-voltage output, high-voltage corona wires are used, or ordinary high-voltage output wires are changed to shorter wires, generally not exceeding 5 meters.
